Established in 2006 by partners Jill and David, The Bike Shack is here to provide you with expert mechanical services, quality products and friendly, passionate service tailored to each individual.

Dave is a highly qualified mechanical technician with over 30 years experience in the field, having a background in car and motorcycle mechanics. Jill and Dave’s passion for cycling was sparked back in 1987 when they bought their first bikes; a Repco superlight and a Malvin Star (and yes they raced on these bikes for years!).

Since then Jill and Dave have been involved in competitive road and MTB racing and it’s safe to say cycling runs in their veins. In 2006 they decided to share this love with the Shoalhaven and beyond by opening the much loved and well respect business; The Bike Shack.

At The Bike Shack our aim is to share our love and passion for cycling with everyone that walks through our doors. Whether you love racing, mountain biking, commuting or just enjoying pedalling with the kids, we are the bike shop you can rely on for expert advice and quality customer service.

I bought a bicycle here in 2012, and loved it for years. Any time I've had an issue I know I can bring it straight to the friendly team here and get advice and repairs done asap! could not recommend them more, would never go anywhere else!

Rang up, explained my problems. The bloke on the other end was very helpful. Walked in the shop, great atmosphere and overall likeliness. I would recommend this shop for anyone needing anything bike and scooter related!

I am super impressed with these guys! We were passing through town with very little time to spare, and they went out of their way to make time for us, given they were fully booked for 2 weeks for bike repairs and services. The outcome was a very happy 8 year old, who has new breaks on his old BMX, and the team at The Bike Shack gave the shonky old bike a nice little service and tune up. Really impressed with the friendly service and the outcome we needed. THANK YOU Bike Shack team! Our son is over the moon!

I went into the bike shack looking for a decent entry level bike to ride from a-b, get some exercise and occasionally possibly go off-road. I found them to be exceptionally helpful, not the slightest bit pushy and super easy going and friendly. I got the bike I wanted. I needed a few bits and pieces ie helmet, speedo, lights, lock and a few tools. Having spoken to them on the phone the previous day, they understood I wasn’t a pro and didn’t try to push any pro stuff my way or up sell me, they just pointed me in the direction of adequate enough equipment for my level and steered me cheaper rather than more sophisticated and subsequently more expensive. Now there is a shop that can identify individual needs, they actually care to know what exactly it is you are looking for and offer the best friendliest service I’ve experienced in retail, maybe ever. I couldn’t endorse them enough. If you need a bike or anything bike related, you’re in great hands at the bike shack!
